I found some new writing desks that I’m considering making the writing desk for my home office. Just in case you haven’t read previously, I’m looking for the perfect study area furniture. My mission is to find a cheap student desk that is fashionable, sturdy, and has a large surface area. I’m willing to pay $150, maybe more if the quality is there. My other criteria is on the style. After careful researching, I’m sure I don’t want an antique writing desk because I’m more concerned with functionality. The decision has come down to a contemporary or light weight desk.
One high tech computer desk has particularly captivated me. This model has a black oak wood finish and a silver metal frame. The highlight feature is the roll out ability of the middle tier, writing surface. It can swivel out on it’s wheel and become a separate section altogether – much like an L-shaped desk, but the smaller section of the L can be folded back to become a compact desk or come out (either to the left or right side). Above, you will find a oval shaped monitor stand that gives you another level of space. This is a good place for family pictures or your digital clock. The bottom surface is the stereotypical keyboard tray. The only problem here is it’s out of stock at ComputerDesks.
The perfect complement to this would be the Air Grid Leather Chair computer desk chair. I’ve sat in this model at the store and it has to be the most comfortable pseudo luxury office desk chair. The leather seat is ultra cushioned and gives you great support while the back gives you a solid but light support for your back. The tilting system locks easily and has adjustable tension control for different weights. Overall, it’s light, stylish, comfortable and is an awesome desk chair for office work. At about $169 on sale, I love the price too.
At the other end of the spectrum is a nice, quaint home writing desk that gives you that relaxed, country living feel. It’s almost as if you just sit with your fountain pen with a stack of papers and start writing novels. With a dark, rich express wood finish and a one drawer pull out in the center, it’s simple but very stylish for the country home theme. This model is considerably more expensive than a laptop writing desk mentioned above at $229. Another detractor is the matching brown desk chair is hard and unforgiving but you’ve still got to love the look. You’d probably be comfortable for 2 hours but after that you’d want to move around.
